EXC. 1986---87 F-350 W/DANA 60 MONOBEAM AXLE
1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove front tire and brake caliper. Position caliper aside, leaving brake lines attached. Do not allow weight of caliper to hang on brake lines.
3. Remove spindle and brake splash shield, then the axle shaft, Fig. 1.

1. Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
2. Remove brake caliper from rotor and wire to frame.
3. Remove six Allen head cap screws retaining cap to hub body and remove the cap.
4. Remove snap ring retaining axle shaft in hub body assembly.
5. Remove lock ring seated in groove of wheel hub.
6. Remove body assembly from hub. If body is difficult to remove, install two cap screws and pull body assembly out of hub.
7. Using suitable tool, remove outer locknut from spindle.
8. Remove lock washer from spindle.
9. Using suitable tool, remove inner locknut from spindle.
10. Remove hub and rotor assembly from spindle.
11. Remove nuts attaching spindle to knuckle, then lightly tap spindle with soft hammer to remove from knuckle.
12. Remove splash shield and caliper support from knuckle.
13. Pull axle shaft assembly out of steering knuckle.
14. Reverse procedure to install, then adjust wheel bearings.
